Hello All!
Miss Me?
That subtitle sounds a little snotty, eh? Not trying to, I promise. I just recently noticed, today actually, how much I haven’t been using my blog. I am missing it, actually. I didn’t realize how much until I received a message about renewing my personal subscription.
I had the battle a battle going on in my head. It pretty much when like Kronk and his angel and devil.
Renew or Don’t Renew.
As you can tell, I’ve renewed it again. Which I believe is a good thing.
For a while this blog was all about:
- Taking my videos and writing a blog post on them.
- Taking pictures and reviewing other’s subscription boxes.
- Posting one chapter a week of my WIP.
- Posting my Cozy Escape Newsletter monthly.
I never really thought about what I wanted my blog site to be about. I have almost 200 people following my blog. But why do you follow it? Honestly, I’m asking. Why did you click the follow button?
Did you click it because you love my Cozy Mystery material? Because I reviewed boxes? Because you were going through all of the new posts on WordPress and you clicked follow on a following spree?! I totally get it. I do that too!
Content Creation?
What I am really getting at is what would you, as the follower like to see more of? I don’t get a lot of comments, likes, or much traffic on this site.
- Is it not user friendly enough?
- Would you like to see the page more streamlined?
- What content do you come here for?
- Why do you follow blogs?
Please let me know in the comments below or even message me. I think I am going to redesign this blog again and see if it works more in my favor.
What I’m thinking…
I’m thinking that this is going to be a place where I dive deeper into my reading, my life, and what I’m thinking about the world. No more reviewing other’s subscription boxes. No more restating really what I’ve already done in my videos on my booktube channel, but diving deeper where I can’t on my channel.
I want this blog to be a place where I feel as though I am giving myself some self care. Where I don’t feel stressed about what I say. Where I can go into more depth in my thoughts of things going on around me, in my reading, and in my life.
Until next time,
XOXO Courtny
I’m new to your blog, but I subscribed because of the cozy content. I’ve recently fallen in love with the genre and wanted to find bloggers and youtubers talking about it. I like your style because it’s upbeat and light, though I would love to see deeper dives into your reading, as you suggested!

Hi Courtney. I do follow your blog. I love supporting you any way that I can. I also enjoy anything you post on cozy mysteries, of course 😊📚. I also enjoy having you share more about yourself and your life, that gives me opportunity to share mine with you 😊

Hi, i like your idea of a deeper dive and would love to read when you post one chapter a week of your WIP. I had no idea this blog existed, but i think it would be good to have the detail here. The social media pages are great for quick updates, polls, book clubs but here is where the meat of the stories could be. I will watch now, thanks for asking our opinion!

Hey Court: I would love to see more blog posts about your visits to see your friend Lisa in San Diego. Bwah haha – do you like the subliminal suggestions! But seriously – I think you could us this platform for more deep thoughts kind of posts. You know…things that don’t neatly fit into a video format and need way more explanation that the typical 10 minute video format. Or non-cozy but still fun things like how you planner your wedding, how you chose your venue, how you knew Aaron was the one – cute stories like that maybe. XOXO Lisa
